Who are we?
Argarom is a rural women's social economy company based in the Western High Atlas, amidst argan tree forests, on the road to Imouzzer Ida-Outanane, in the Agadir region. This region is nicknamed the 'Honey Road' and is famous for its festival of aromatic and medicinal plants, such as thyme, euphorbia, lavender, and prickly pear. Our positioning in the heart of a diversity of species, many of which are endemic to Morocco, is an asset that we aim to highlight and leverage. Our goal is to preserve this biodiversity and promote it through fair, equitable, and sustainable trade.
Indeed, at Argarom, we take pride in our production unit certified by several organizations. To achieve this goal, we have integrated modern equipment and laboratory materials into our company. This allows us to harmoniously combine the traditions inherited from our ancestors with innovative practices.
Our company is primarily composed of women from neighboring villages who are the custodians of ancestral know-how related to local products, as well as their medicinal and cosmetic virtues. We showcase this valuable know-how to ensure products of exceptional quality while providing economic and social opportunities for the women in our community.
At Argarom, our mission is to preserve this natural and cultural heritage by promoting an ethical and environmentally friendly economic model. We are deeply committed to sustainable development and nature conservation, while offering unique products derived from the richness of our region.
